In this edition, we focus on asset management companies and securities firms within the financial investment business among domestic financial sector. You can explore leading companies based in Seoul, examining their distribution, total assets, and net profits.

○ Currently, there are 450 asset management companies in South Korea, with 98% located in Seoul. In the city center, 55% of them are situated in Yeongdeungpo-gu. The top three companies based on total assets are Mirae Asset Global Investments, Korea Investment Value Asset Management, and Hanwha Asset Management.

○ There are 60 securities firms in South Korea, with 95% located in Seoul. In the city center, 53% of them are in Yeongdeungpo-gu. Among domestic securities firms, the top three based on total assets are Mirae Asset Securities, Korea Investment & Securities, and KB Securities. For foreign securities firms, the ranking is JP Morgan Securities, Goldman Sachs Securities, and Morgan Stanley International Securities.
